Vacation is nearing!

Well thank goodness for a vacation at the end of this week! Much needed time away from the craziness of work and regular day to day life! It will be my first time going to a beach on the North Carolina coast which seems like a bad thing to say since I am from NC. 😆 I have always gone to the beach in South Carolina (Myrtle Beach or Isle of Palms) so I am excited to go and see the NC coast. Going to be too far south to go the the Outer Banks but that just leaves another adventure to have on another trip! 😃 But for this trip, I am sooo excited to go to the beach and be around water!! Water and the sounds it makes is so soothing. I am driving my husband crazy with do to list and packing that has already started. We will also be going to his cousin's wedding while we are down there so it will be good to see family and spend time with them also! Going to wedding always remind me of how much I love my husband and how blessed I am to have him!
No real up dates on fertility (or the lack of lol). I finally found an prenatal vitamin that doesn't  make me sick. Andrew and I found the one a day his and her pack of vitamins at Walmart and decided what could it hurt to try. (Tried everything else). The women's prenatals in the pack are a capsule which is different than the tablet that I have been use to getting with every other brand I have tried. Apparently this capsule is what I needed all along. For what ever unknown reason (most likely because nothing can ever be simple with me) the tablets always make me nauseous and sometimes even throw up. I had tried taking them with food, with out food, in the morning, at night and every time in between. Now with these capsules, it doesn't matter when I take them, I have no issues at all. both of them are huge horse pills but it seems like mine are easier to swallow with it being a capsule. His smell horrible too!
I did go to my regular family doctor and of course since I am not taking any of my medications at this time to try and help with the fertility stuff, my blood work was horrible! My cholesterol was through the roof but I knew that was going to happen when I stopped taking my statin. My doctor made it very clear that once I have a child I will be going back on it immediately for the sake of my heart health.
We're waiting on a kidney transplant for dad still. But he is staying in good spirits aside from the sitting around and waiting. My goal is still hoping to be that we are pregnant by the end of the year so that he can see our child born and hopefully watch them grow up. We're still hopeful that this might happen but we will wait and see what God's plan is. ❤

Hard Times

Here comes honesty at it's best. I have cried more in the last week than I have in YEARS! It has been almost daily, including while at my monthly visit with the doctor to check my weight. I thought surely with 25 pounds gone, this would be the cycle that there would be two line instead of one on the dreaded pee stick. But NOPE. just one line again. Learning To Wait

Wow! It's been a while and I am sorry just been a little busy. Update on weight situation is I am down 40 pounds! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 I have stopped taking the phentermine and have been maintaining my weight. I would love to lose the last 20 pounds but there are bigger things to look at now. So no more waiting and just walking the path. We're going to start doing things to help the process along and get pregnant as soon as possible no matter how much money it takes. I will go get a loan for $14,000 to have IVF if I have to! Went to a consultation today to make sure this happens and the Dr does an ultrasound and he is very happy with what he sees. My ovaries went from looking like a a chunky chocolate chip cookie from all the cyst to only have a couple of cyst on my left ovary. 😃 He is also bragging about my weight loss and he goes through what he thinks we should do. 4-5 months of taking the fertility pills on days 5-9 of my cycle then ultra sound on day 14 to see if it worked and ther...

A long pause

So...wow...it has been a while since I have had time to sit down and type up an update. There has been A LOT going on since November. So I will try to go chronologically. With in a few hours of my last blog being written, my amazing nephew was born. Jace is my second nephew and it was such a blessing to be able to be a part of his coming into this world. I help my brother and sister in law out by staying at night in the hospital while my brother stayed with their other son at night so he wouldn't have too much disruption to his life. It was so amazing to be able to be there with my sister in law after she gave birth and to get to spend that time with Jace at night when she was trying to get some rest in between feedings.
